Chevy Releases Game Changing ZL1
It’s the Camaro ZL1 versus the world with the new sixth generation ZL1 release. This car is made to handle any competitors. Equipped with the Corvette powertrain and new transmission option, this Camaro is unstoppable!
Chevy Crafted the ZL1 Very Well!
Anticipation has been building for months ahead of the release of the new Camaro ZL1. It joins the 1LE in special performance packages for the sixth generation, but it's a lot more beast! This stunning Camaro is made with a special hood, wider fenders, and bulky rocker panels. It looks like a work of art, but the real 'wow' about the car can't be seen from the outside.
Under the hood is the same engine found in the new Z06 Corvettes. The LT4 engine is a supercharged version of the LT1 found in the current high performance Chevy lineup. The blower bring the the horsepower to 640 and torque to 640 lb.-ft. This is nothing to mess around with!
A special track tuned suspension allows the Camaro Zl1 to use every bit of that power. The ZL1 also weighs 200 pounds less than its predecessor. GM didn't spill the beans about exact track times, but it will definitely haul!
According to the release:
"Acceleration for the ZL1 is delivered with a new supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine estimated at 640 hp (477 kW), and either a six-speed manual transmission with active rev matching or an all-new 10-speed automatic. Handling capability starts with the lightweight, stiffer structure of the all-new sixth-Gen Camaro, married with Magnetic Ride suspension and an electronic limited-slip differential. Standard technologies include Driver Mode Selector, dual-mode exhaust and advanced connectivity features."
The Camaro ZL1 will go on sale later this year. This car is basically a Z06 with a backseat, a total game changer!
